The childhood
Andy Bean (or Thomas Andrew Bean) was born in March 13 in 1953. It was lucky for his future career that his father was also really into golfer. When his family moved to Lakeland in 1968, his father registered a golfer course for him. His career started at that time.
Besides playing golfer, he was also a student at Florida University. After school, he played for men’ golf team and won 4 amateur prizes. His teammates and he attended the Southeastern Conference and NCAA Championships with the flying-color results. His education finished in 1975 with the Marketing bachelor’s degree and he started to focus on golf career.

More luckily than the other golfers, Andy Bean had an auspicious start with the first PGA Tour victory in 1977. He has been ranked in the TOP 10 following to the Official World Golf Rankings in 1986 and 1987.
